Skyrim Ebony Dagger - final by Folkenstal Skyrim Ebony Dagger - final by Folkenstal
Ok, so here are two ebony daggers as seen in the video game The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim.
Here is a picture of one of the ingame daggers: elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Eb…

The upper one on the photo is right out from the mold, only that I roughly trimmed the edges.
No sanding and no painting there.
The silver highlights are made with aluminium powder,
so the hightlights are already there when pulled out of the mold ;)
The one below is quick painted with black shoe dye. The handle also has silver painted highlights.

weight: 200 grams
length: 43 cm

More detailed pictures will follow. If you have any questions, I will answer them.

Wow, These look fantastic!

Great job on the detailing!

Two questions though:

What's the material used?

And how did you accomplish the both grooved and raised detailing? Mainly what tool(s) did you use for the grooves such as the handles, and what did you do to get the raised sections on the blade?

thanks, mate.
Material is liquid plastic, or polyurethane.
Go to my website for the making of the dagger, it's easier: folkenstal.com

these are really really well done. Are they cast in plastic/resin? Did you use a silicone rubber mold? Terrific job.

Thank you very much.
Yes, these are cast with Smooth-On's Onyx slow (polyurethane).
The mold also done with Smooth-On products.
Still I am totally new to this kind of hobby, but I enjoy it :)
